"The Future 50 program celebrates business growth and recognizes companies and owners who are keeping the Greater Washington business climate vibrant and exciting.

The Future 50 award is based upon employee growth and revenue growth over the last three years. To qualify for the Future 50, a business must be at least three years old and typically no more than ten years old. However, companies that have gone through a significant reinvention in the last three years (but are older than ten years) are also considered.

This is Washington SmartCEO's inaugural year for the Future 50 awards. The competition was very strong with more than 200 nominations."
